This week was pretty easy to plan! Normally I’m racking my brain but these just came to me.
MONDAY –
This is a low carb day for me. I always try to pick protein with a higher fat content (adding bacon) and something that will pair nicely with salad or roasted veggies. SkinnyTaste is a go to of mine!
One Skillet Chicken with Bacon and Green Beans
TUESDAY-
Also a low carb day. By this time I’m pretty full from replacing my carbs with fat. I love choosing an asian themed dinner because it’s so easy to microwave the Green Giant “fried” Rice mix while making a pot of rice for Philip. It’s a win win! These chicken strips have become a staple in our house.
Sesame Encrusted Chicken Tenders
WEDNESDAY-
Burger night!! I’ve traded in buns for tater tots. NO LIE. Ever since starting FASTERway to Fat Loss it has truly taught me balance. I enjoy my ‘fork and knife’ burger with a double serving of tater tots. This brand is my favorite! I love that they use REAL ingredients and they taste like just really good tater tots and not the kind that have been sitting in a sonic basket. If you prefer fries, I’ve tried all of theirs and highly recommend everything!
THURSDAY –
I’ve been craving meatballs lately but I don’t want the breadcrumbs (even though they would fit my macros). Mostly I’m just wanting to make something new and this is a new recipe for me! I also can’t wait to use my new food processor we received as a wedding gift (thank you Travis and Julie!). I do like to pick one day out of the week to pick a more involved recipe because I’ve grown to enjoy cooking. I’ve also never had anything bad from The Defined Dish. Her stuff is always so good…if you want something a little more rich, try the Meatballs Al Forno.
Epic Whole30 Baked Meatballs
FRIDAY-
The grill is for Friday…at least for me it is. Not only is Philip down to grill on a Friday since it’s the weekend but I’m also ready for a glass of wine or a truly haha. The weather is only getting nicer which means we may have to kick up our grill nights. I think that means I should also get better at lighting the fire…LOL. We’ll just be doing some yummy strip steaks with baked potato and roasted veggies. Philip normally has a salad as well.
